The Version of You People Never See
There's a version of you that only shows up when no one is watching — the one who checks on people quietly, who apologizes first, who stays. This is about that person, and why we hide her.

Thoughts on identity, faith, business, technology, fatherhood and the quiet work of becoming someone you respect.
Alpha Sky writes about the things people feel but rarely say clearly. Faith, identity, discipline, business, rebuilding, fatherhood — and the strange process of becoming dependable.

Read the pieceAt some point, being told you have potential stops feeling like a compliment. Here’s why — and what to do instead of resenting it.
I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming purpose always arrives with clarity. For a long time, I believed that before moving forward I needed certainty. I needed a plan. I needed confidence. I needed t…
I think one of the strangest feelings a person can experience is loneliness in the middle of noise. Most people assume loneliness only exists when somebody is physically alone, but that isn’t always true. Sometimes a per…
Nobody wakes up one morning and suddenly becomes disconnected from themselves. It rarely happens loudly. There’s usually no dramatic moment where life completely falls apart overnight. No alarm bells. No giant warning si…
There was a time when I understood influence. I knew how to grow pages. I knew how to build an audience. I knew how to position content, work with brands, and create something that people would pay attention to. From the…
From a young age, I grew up in a Christian home where faith was not something I discovered later in life, but something I was naturally raised in and surrounded by. My mum went to Bible school, and church life was a cons…
Malawi & Early Life
I was born in [add city/town, Malawi] in [add year]. Malawi isn't a backdrop in this story — it's the first shape everything else got poured into. By the time I was old enough to describe myself, I was already several other people's idea of who I was.
The Army — Discipline & Structure
I joined [add branch/regiment] in [add year]. The Army didn't hand me discipline — it stripped away every excuse I had for not having it.
Business, Ambition & The Old Alpha Sky
After the Army I went looking for the next structure to push against, and found it in building things. Before this site existed, "Alpha Sky" was a persona built for an audience rather than a body of work — not dishonest, just incomplete. A highlight reel mistaken for a foundation.
Fatherhood & Falling Apart
[add your child/children's names or initials, the year, and one honest sentence about what fatherhood changed in you]. Nothing else reorganized my priorities as fast — and nothing made the unraveling that followed hurt more to watch.
Homelessness, Rebuilding & Faith
There was a period, in [add year], when I didn't have a fixed place to live. I'm not interested in making it sound more dramatic than it was, or less — it happened, and it was the floor I eventually built from. People from Victory Outreach and The Block Army showed up before I had anything to offer them back. I was baptised on [add date/location], and gave my life to Christ again — not as relief, but like being handed tools I'd forgotten I already owned.
Noble Knights & Why I Write
Noble Knights is [add a plain description of what it does], started in [add year] — the first thing I built after rebuilding myself, which changes how it was built. I write because there were years I couldn't find language for what I was going through, and I don't want anyone else to wait that long to feel understood. Alpha's Words exists to articulate thoughts people have felt but never been able to express. That's not a tagline. It's the closest thing I have to a job description.
[Update: e.g. "The gap between confidence and competence."] Mostly identity and discipline right now — the quiet mechanics of becoming someone dependable.
[Update: current focus at Noble Knights, or a new project]
[Update: a book, a skill, a discipline you're working on]
[Update: something you're deliberately staying away from this season]
[Update: a theme in culture, technology, faith, or fatherhood you’re watching closely]
[Add a plain, one-paragraph description of what Noble Knights does, who it serves, and when it started]
